Thankful for fridges that work!

You don't realize how much you rely on (and have stored in) your fridge until it stops working! We were living out of my dorm fridge and coolers for the latter part of the day and part of this morning until the big fridge was cooled down enough to restock. Praise the Lord that it ended up not being the compressor but only the starter switch thing for the compressor - about 1/2 the cost!

Growing Pains

It has been a rough couple of days again with what I am assuming is another round of teething for the girl. The night before last she slept in the pack 'n play for almost 5 hours but then when she woke up she was up very frequently until we got up for the day. Last night she only slept for about 3 hours and then the same story of frequent waking but she was pretty distraught this time and whimpered and cried out more. She had a fever when I checked... I just got her down for a nap a little bit ago and strangely she didn't want to nurse at first then she did but when she was done she just laid her head on my shoulder and I rocked her the rest of the way to sleep. I laid her on our bed because it has a heated mattress pad and I am going to go join her in a minute.

Tutu cute!

Here is a cute homemade tutu that I made for Evie's pics she recently had done... I will try to scan a couple of those to add too. This was super easy, the hardest part was cutting the tulle!

Pouch Style Sling for Me

This was my next sewing project and it was a lot more involved. I had to redo a couple parts because my measurements were off and it ended up way to big and don't look too close or you will see many newbie flaws - but they just add character, right? All in all it ended up very cute and functional. I think I would like to try one out of fleece that has stretch in it.

Legwarmers for Evie

My first sewing project. Not too involved but it gave me some experience nontheless. I had been seeing these little babylegs all over and finally found a tutorial at http://www.flickr.com/photos/babyhopes/sets/72157594274454468/detail/

I plan to make some shorter ones and of course some for Christmas and other fun holidays.
